U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has served Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on her official Twitter account this week.

On August 11, Craig highlighted the role of sports organizations in community building, writing, “The Minnesota Vikings are an organization we can all get behind. And when we work together to make our communities stronger, we all win. “

A day later, she focused on the ongoing fentanyl crisis and its impact on Minnesota families. On August 12, Craig posted: “Fentanyl continues to tear apart families, and too many lives in MN have been taken by drugs sold on social media platforms.

I’ve introduced legislation that holds social media companies accountable for drug trafficking on their platforms and ensures law enforcement agencies”

In her most recent post from August 13, Craig criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding public safety funding in Washington D.C., stating: “President Trump’s actions are totally unjustified and a waste of taxpayer dollars.

If the President were serious about making DC safer, he would tell the Republican majority to reinstate the full funding that Speaker Mike Johnson and Congressional Republicans rescinded earlier”

Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She earned her BA from the University of Memphis in 1994 before entering public service.
