U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, recently shared a series of posts on her official social media account covering topics from congressional wagers to legislative efforts and condolences for a late colleague.

On July 21, 2025, Craig referenced a friendly bet with a New York Congressman regarding the WNBA finals: “Last year, I made a friendly wager with a certain New York Congressman that the @minnesotalynx would win the WNBA finals. The consequence if we lost? A speech on the House floor congratulating the New York Liberty. @RepDanGoldman, today I gave you a floor speech, but not the one https://t.co/kdmVw5v5bi”.

Later that same day, she addressed concerns about illicit drug sales online: “The sale of illicit fentanyl on social media platforms puts our children’s lives at risk.

I’m proud to be reintroducing legislation that holds Big Tech accountable for drug trafficking on their platforms and gives law enforcement the tools they need to keep our kids safe. https://t.co/Ri3kdUzBbx“.

On July 22, 2025, Craig expressed sympathy following the death of State Senator Bruce Anderson: “Cheryl and I are saddened to hear of the passing of State Senator Bruce Anderson.

Bruce was a dedicated public servant who was committed to our family farmers and veterans. We are keeping his family in our prayers today.”

Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Jason Lewis. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
