Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, used her social media account on March 30 and 31, 2026, to address issues ranging from job opportunities in her office to critiques of Republican policies and former President Donald Trump’s spending.

On March 30, Craig announced an internship opportunity with her press team in Washington D.C., posting: “Are you interested in learning more about political communications on a growing press team? My office is hiring a summer press intern in our Washington D.C. office! Find more information on how to apply here: https://t.co/Fzf2SG773j https://t.co/tQrPf7qJdg”.

Later that day, she criticized Republican health care and fiscal policies. In a tweet dated March 30, she wrote: “Republicans have already kicked millions of Americans off their health coverage to fund Trump’s billionaire tax breaks. They’re now plotting even MORE cuts to fund a war that no one asked for. All this from the party that campaigned on ‘America-first.’ https://t.co/1oXUh2YSYd”.

On March 31, Craig focused on the economic pressures faced by Minnesotans and government spending under former President Trump. She stated: “While Minnesotans are struggling to fill up their tank and put food on the table – President Trump has spent over $100 million of their tax dollars on his golf game. https://t.co/p0kzDfTXCB”.

Craig has served as the representative for Minnesota’s 2nd District since defeating Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Memphis in 1994.
