Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, has recently voiced her concerns on social media regarding various legislative and international issues. Craig, who succeeded Jason Lewis in Congress, has been active in discussing budgetary and foreign policy matters.

On June 21, 2025, Angie Craig expressed her disapproval of certain provisions in the Senate Republicans’ budget bill. She stated that “Just when I thought the Big Bad Bill couldn’t get any worse, new provisions in Senate Republicans’ budget bill will take away food from veterans, seniors and kids aging out of the foster care system.” Craig criticized these measures as being implemented to fund tax breaks for billionaires.

In another post dated June 22, 2025, Craig addressed international security concerns related to Iran’s nuclear program. She described it as “one of the greatest threats to the United States and our allies,” emphasizing her commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. She also highlighted the importance of avoiding another costly war in the Middle East.

Later on June 22, 2025, Craig commented on the financial implications of a proposed budget bill. She warned that “This bill gets a higher price tag every day.” According to her assessment, a budget bill adding $3.4 trillion to national debt could potentially bankrupt the country and increase costs for the middle class.

Angie Craig was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
