Angie Craig, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, has recently addressed several key issues through her social media posts. Born in West Helena, Arkansas, in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, Craig graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.

On May 7, 2025, Craig emphasized the importance of civil liberties by stating “No matter who you vote for or where you come from– you deserve for your civil liberties to be protected.” She shared that she met with the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota (ACLUMN) to discuss making life safer and more accessible for Minnesotans.

Later that day, she commented on a Republican budget proposal which she claimed would impact health coverage. She stated “You read that right. Under the Republicans’ budget, millions of Americans would lose their health coverage – to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.”

In another post on May 7th, Craig expressed concern over Medicaid’s future amidst political challenges. She noted “Medicaid is under attack, and now more than ever, we need to fight for Minnesotans’ access to quality, affordable health care.” During her meeting with radiologists from the American College of Radiology (ACR), discussions focused on supporting physicians and protecting Medicaid within Minnesota.
