Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd District, has actively shared her thoughts and activities on social media recently. In a series of tweets, she touched upon a range of topics from cultural celebrations to legislative initiatives.

On April 12th, Craig extended her holiday wishes to those observing Passover. “Happy Passover to all who celebrate. Wishing you a peaceful and safe Seder this evening with family and friends.”

The following day, on April 13th, she addressed fiscal responsibility and ethical conduct in government by questioning the appropriateness of lawmakers using taxpayer dollars for certain expenses. She stated, “Lawmakers shouldn’t be using your tax dollars to take first class flights & they shouldn’t be trading stocks with insider information. I’ve got a common-sense bill to prevent lawmakers from profiting off their service.”

Later that day, she shared her experience meeting with young members of the Minnesota 4H, expressing her inspiration from their initiatives. “It’s always great to meet with students from Minnesota 4H who may become the next generation of family farmers. I’m truly inspired by the work that they’re doing. They gave me some great ideas. The future is bright!”

Angie Craig has been serving Minnesota’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since her election in 2019, succeeding Jason Lewis. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972, and now residing in Prior Lake, she holds a BA from the University of Memphis, completed in 1994.
