Angie Craig, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, marked the anniversary of key legislation and highlighted local priorities in a series of tweets posted on July 26 and 27, 2025.

On July 26, Craig commemorated a major milestone in disability rights, stating, “Today marks the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act being signed into law. As we celebrate this landmark legislation, I am reaffirming my commitment to ensuring all Minnesotans have what they need to thrive in our communities.”

Later that day, she acknowledged postal workers on a historic occasion for the United States Postal Service: “Happy 250th Anniversary @USPS! Minnesota, remember to thank your local postal workers and letter carriers today who work day in and day out to get you your mail. I’m still working to improve mail service in MN and make sure USPS employees have what they need to get the job done.”

On July 27, Craig turned her attention to economic issues affecting small businesses. She wrote: “Small businesses enrich our communities and strengthen our economy – but too many of them are struggling. I’m committed to ensuring small businesses in MN have the resources they need to not just keep the lights on, but to thrive.”

Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd District since succeeding Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. A graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree earned in 1994, Craig continues her legislative focus on community well-being and support for essential services.
