Angie Craig, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, recently highlighted community events and economic concerns in a series of social media posts.

On August 23, Craig wrote about her participation in a local awareness event: “Today, I helped kick off the Devin J. Norring Foundation’s Fentanyl Awareness Motorcycle Ride to end drug trafficking on social media platforms – because no parent should lose a child to a fentanyl overdose.”

The following day, she addressed rising costs for families during the back-to-school season. On August 24, Craig posted: “It’s National Back to School Month, and thanks to President Trump’s economy – almost every school supply will cost more.

Parents shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table and buying school supplies.”

On August 25, Craig attended an event honoring former Minnesota Secretary of State Joan Growe. She shared: “It was an honor to attend former Minnesota Secretary of State Joan Growe’s 90th birthday celebration this weekend and present her with a Congressional Record.

Joan, thank you for your service. I’m wishing you a very happy birthday!”

Craig has served as the representative for Minnesota’s 2nd district since succeeding Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
