Angie Craig, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for Minnesota’s 2nd district, has been vocal on multiple issues through social media. Craig, who replaced former Congressman Jason Lewis in 2019, shared various updates and viewpoints on matters pertinent to her constituents.

On May 2, 2025 she posted an invitation to high school students interested in applying to a U.S. Service Academy. She encouraged those in Minnesota’s 2nd district to attend her Service Academy Information Night occurring on May 7th in Burnsville to learn more about the application process and meet representatives from each of the academies.

The following day, May 3, 2025, Craig emphasized her support for veterans. She criticized the current administration’s handling of veterans’ affairs, expressing concern that veterans are not adequately supported upon returning home. Craig wrote, “Veterans put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms. The least we can do is ensure our servicemembers have a place to rest their heads when they come home.” She accused the administration of turning its back on veterans.

Later on May 3, she tweeted about her meeting with Health & Pension WORKS to discuss the protection of benefits for workers. Craig emphasized the importance of securing the benefits that individuals have worked their entire lives to earn.

Angie Craig, 51, born in West Helena, Arkansas, and residing in Prior Lake, obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
