U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has served Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, marked the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act and highlighted her recent engagements with local organizations and sports teams through a series of social media posts on August 6, 2025.

In a post commemorating the Voting Rights Act, Craig wrote, “60 years ago today, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law. Today, our work to defend the right to vote is far from over. I’m working to protect and expand access to the ballot box, so every Minnesotan’s voice is heard.” (August 6, 2025)

Later that day, Craig shared details of her meeting with agricultural leaders at Farmfest. She stated, “It was great to meet with @MNFarmersUnion yesterday at Farmfest. Partners like the Minnesota Farmers Union work tirelessly to ensure Minnesota family farmers have the rights and resources they need to keep feeding the world.” (August 6, 2025)

In another post reflecting her support for local sports teams, Craig noted her attendance at Vikings Training Camp in Eagan: “This week I attended Vikings Training camp in Eagan — and folks, it’s going to be an exciting season. They may not be the Lynx, but I’m ready to root for the Vikings this season! Skol!” (August 6, 2025)

Craig replaced Jason Lewis as representative for Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress in 2019. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and now residing in Prior Lake, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
