Angie Craig, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, has recently posted a series of statements on social media regarding key legislative developments and her engagement with local youth leaders.

On July 17, 2025, Craig expressed opposition to proposed reductions in public broadcasting funding by stating, “I won’t stand for Republican cuts to public broadcasting.”

The following day, July 18, 2025, she commented on the passage of a defense spending package in Congress: “Last night, Republicans passed a defense spending package that threatens our military readiness, abandons our nation’s greatest allies and limits women’s access to reproductive care. None of these things make us stronger. I voted no.”

Later on July 18, Craig shared details from her meeting with young agricultural leaders in Minnesota: “It was great to meet with Minnesota’s FFA State Officer Team this week. These young leaders are the future of Minnesota agriculture.”

Craig has served as the representative for Minnesota’s 2nd District since succeeding Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
