Belmont falls to Middle Tennessee State 10-8 with Marland on the mound

At 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, former Lakeville South High School standout Tate Marland pitched for the Belmont Bruins in their 10-8 defeat against Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders during an NCAA Division I baseball game.

The matchup was held at E.S. Rose Park. It marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Bruins previously topped the Blue Raiders 8-7 on Wednesday, March 4.

Marland gave up two earned runs in three innings, tallying one walk and five strikeouts.

The Bruins’ upcoming matchup is set for Friday, April 17, at E.S. Rose Park against the Evansville Purple Aces.
