Former Farmington High athlete Westover competes in NCAA Division III softball on March 3

Former Farmington High School standout Madison Westover and the Gustavus Adolphus Golden Gusties were defeated 8-2 by the Redlands Bulldogs in their NCAA Division III softball game played at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

The contest was held at The Field of Dreams and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In their earlier game on Tuesday, March 3, the Golden Gusties lost 5-3.

Westover went 1-for-1 at the plate, drove in a run and walked twice.

The Golden Gusties are next scheduled to face the Carleton Knights on Wednesday, April 1, at 3:30 p.m. at Gustie Softball Field.
