Empire home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Empire fell by $18,170 while total sales decreased by 46.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $258,830 - a 6.6% decrease over the $277,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Empire in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Empire for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,424, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
