Empire home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Empire rose by $42,110 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 22.4% increase over the $187,890 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Empire in the fourth quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Empire for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,424, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
