CITY OF FARMINGTON: Recently Awarded A Grant From The State of MN

Grant

City of Farmington issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.

DCFC was recently awarded a grant from the state of MN to provide education and support for people, families and communities impacted by mental illnesses, with special attention on families in communities facing barriers while navigating behavioral health systems. The communities the state asked us to focus on are the African American and LGBT communities.

We are so excited to get to work and are looking for people that belong to either (or both) of these communities that would like to be a part of this.

Our first step is setting up Community Advisory Boards and we would love to have you! Board members will have the ability to advocate for their communities and help make a change in the care they receive by removing barriers and increasing awareness.

The time commitment is just 4 hours in 2019 and 8 hours in 2020. If you are interested of have any questions please email heather@dakotachildandfamily.org or call 651-209-8640 and ask for Heather.
