CITY OF FARMINGTON: Neighbors Express Offering Daily Food Support

Givingfood

City of Farmington issued the following announcement on Nov. 17.

Neighbors Express, a new food distribution program at Neighbors, Inc., has been established as a way to help fill the gap for families experiencing food insecurity in our community. In addition to monthly food shelf visits, individuals and families are able to access the resources provided at Neighbors Express on a daily basis. Thanks to the generosity of local retail partners and our wonderful volunteer drivers, Neighbors is able to offer a variety of donated items in Neighbors Express.

Charlie Thompson, Neighbors President and CEO says, “Neighbors Express is yet another way we are able to connect people in need with food and other resources so that they have the opportunity to thrive.”

In the first two weeks of operation, Neighbors Express helped fill dinner plates for over 1,300 families in our community.

Neighbors Express is located on the lower level of the Neighbors building.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Neighbors Express is open to the public.

Offerings and quantities of available items in Neighbors Express will vary depending on donation levels.

If you or someone you know is experiencing hunger and would like more information about the food distribution programs at Neighbors, please call us at 651-455-5000.
