CITY OF APPLE VALLEY: Please Report Vehicles On City Streets During Snow Removal Efforts To Apple Valley Code Enforcement!

Snowparkcar

City of Apple Valley issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

Did you know that City ordinance prohibits parking on public streets during City snow removal operations?

After snow fall events, City snow plow crews are dispatched to clear major and residential streets.  This usually takes place between the hours of 3-6 am when parking on City streets is already prohibited, but timing of snow can vary depending on the time of snowfall.  All vehicles must be removed from public streets whenever City snow removal efforts are taking place to ensure timely, efficient and thorough clearing of the City streets.

Code Enforcement assists snow plowing operations by working with residents to ensure vehicles are kept off of City streets while plows are out clearing snow.  Please assist our efforts to clear Apple Valley’s streets of snow quickly and completely.  There are several steps you can take to help keep vehicles off the street during snow removal efforts.  Share this information with neighbors. Report to Apple Valley Code Enforcement any addresses where vehicles are parked on the street during snow removal efforts.  During the winter season, keep an eye on the weather forecast to know when snow plowing may take place.  You may also refer to the City webpage for updates on snow removal activities (A link has been provided below).  Please remember that parking on City streets between 3 and 6 AM is prohibited every day, all year, by ordinance.  Please also remember to avoid blocking sidewalks.

Please contact Apple Valley Code Enforcement, at 952.953.2570 or codeenforce@ci.apple-valley.mn.us to report vehicles in violation.
