Hampton (Dakota County) home prices fall in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Hampton in Dakota County fell by $11,375 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,125 - a 5% decrease over the $226,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Hampton in 2017.

The median sales tax in Hampton for 2018 was $2,422. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,076. This marks an increase of 16.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
