Northfield home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Northfield rose by $40,000 while total sales decreased by 30.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 37 homes sold, with a median sale price of $290,000 - a 16% increase over the $250,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 53 homes sold in Northfield in 2017.

The median sales tax in Northfield for 2018 was $3,646. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,925. This marks an increase of 24.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
