Castle Rock home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Castle Rock rose by $10,000 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $310,000 - a 3.3% increase over the $300,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Castle Rock in 2017.

The median sales tax in Castle Rock for 2018 was $2,754. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,115. This marks an increase of 30.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.9%.
