Hastings (Dakota County) home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Hastings in Dakota County fell by $5,000 while total sales decreased by 1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 102 homes sold, with a median sale price of $210,000 - a 2.3% decrease over the $215,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 103 homes sold in Hastings in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Hastings for 2018 was $2,585. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,131. This marks an increase of 21.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
