Castle Rock home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Castle Rock fell by $105,000 while total sales increased by 250%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $300,000 - a 25.9% decrease over the $405,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Castle Rock in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Castle Rock for 2018 was $2,754. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,115. This marks an increase of 30.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.9%.
