Burnsville home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Burnsville rose by $11,428 while total sales increased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 350 homes sold, with a median sale price of $261,928 - a 4.6% increase over the $250,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 258 homes sold in Burnsville in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Burnsville for 2018 was $2,898. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,415. This marks an increase of 20%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
