Empire home prices fall in August 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Empire fell by $66,750 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $286,950 - a 18.9% decrease over the $353,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Empire in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Empire for 2018 was $3,191. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,424. This marks an increase of 31.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
