Rep. Tony Jurgens shared his experience on Facebook after touring two ISD-917 locations with Intermediate School District 917 Superintendent Mark Zuzek.
"You might remember Mark Zuzek as the Hastings Middle School principal but for the last year and a half he has been Superintendent at Intermediate School District 917 which is a specialty school district that provides defined student services in the areas of special education, area learning centers, career technical programs, and online learning," Jurgens said.
Intermediate School District 917 is one of Minnesota's four intermediate school districts that serves over 20,000 students. The district is a specialty school district for various trade and proprietary education. Zuzek had previously been employed as a principal at Hastings Middle School.
Intermediate School District 917 is considered a high-tech school that employs various online and career-oriented courses for students.
