St. Johns Lutheran School Corcoran issued the following announcement on March 27.

Mr. D., our awesome custodian, is missing the children and wrote this poem this week...

Where are my children?

The bell goes off;

but not a sound.

There’s not a child

to be found.

I miss my children,

and that’s a fact.

But sometime soon,

they’ll all be back.

I miss the deafening

lunchroom chatter;

a little mess -

it did not matter.

The Governor sent them

homeward bound;

now I know they're

safe and sound.

It’s lonely here,

and still a fact...

I pray to God

To send them back.
