City of Apple Valley issued the following announcement on June 25.
Any fireworks that are aerial or explode are prohibited. Fireworks may not be used on any public property or any public street.
Typically this time of year our department gets a lot of calls of reported fireworks in the city. Reminder that Minnesota law permits the sale, possession and use of some non-explosive and non-aerial fireworks such as sparklers, cones, and tubes that emit sparks.
Any fireworks that are aerial or explode are prohibited. Fireworks may not be used on any public property or any public street.
Please be considerate of your neighbors when lighting off fireworks and remember Apple Valley Ordinance §130.07 which prohibits the discharge of fireworks between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am except on the July 4 holiday when prohibited hours are midnight to 8 am (July 5). If you witness illegal fireworks, please call 911 immediately.
