Minnesota Rep. Tony Jurgens (R-54B) has been endorsed by the Minnesota Retailers IMPACT.
Minnesota Retailers IMPACT publicly put their support behind 55 candidates for State Legislature, saying they are good for Minnesota consumers, retailers and communities.
“These candidates have demonstrated an appreciation for what the retail industry offers Minnesota’s economy as the industry supports 788,000 jobs across the state," Bruce Nustad, Minnesota Retailers IMPACT treasurer, said in a release. "Each endorsed candidate is a supporter of Minnesota's consumers, retailers and our communities."
Jurgens represents the southeast Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, includes the communities of Hastings, Afton, Denmark Township, Nininger Township and parts of Cottage Grove.
During his time in office, Jurgens has worked to maintain safe speed limits on Minnesota roads, establish the Health and Emergency Occupations (HERO) Center and wrote a law to build the Safety and Mental Health Alternative Response Training (SMART) Center, co-authored laws that lowered healthcare costs, funneled money into Minnesota road and bridge infrastructure without raising gasoline taxes and has voted for several bills aimed at helping Minnesota families and businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
