Webp police673

City Of Hastings issued the following announcement on Oct 10.

The Hastings Police Department is wearing purple ribbons in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The department works year-round to respond to domestic violence calls, orders for protection and restraining orders, and provides an office for a domestic/sexual abuse advocate in the department.

This advocate works with Dakota County staff to help victims with criminal justice and civil system support, locating safe housing, finding emotional support resources, and often works directly with our officers to ensure the safest outcomes for victims.
