Republican incumbent Justin Eichorn won his re-election bid for Senate District 5, beating Democratic opponent Rita Albrecht.
Eichorn thanked voters and pledged to continue to serve them.
“Thank you to all of the people of Senate District 5 for giving me the honor to serve you in St. Paul for another term. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped us along the way. We are one happy family and ready to serve you,” he posted on Facebook.
Eichorn assumed office in 2017 and his current term will end in January 2021.
