Democratic incumbent John Huot has won his re-election bid for House District 57B, defeating opponent Sandra Jimenez.
Huot thanked his supporters in a statement on Facebook.
“Thank you to the voters of Rosemount, Apple Valley and Coates! I am honored to be returning to the MN House as your State Representative. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped create and maintain a positive campaign. Thank you for your time spent making phone calls, writing postcards, and talking to your friends and family. I also want to thank my opponent.”
Huot first assumed office in Jan 2019.
