Dakota County issued the following announcement on March 22.
The Dakota County Historical Society will host a Silent Auction Open House on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Lawshe Memorial Museum. There is no admission to get into the event to place bids on items.
The Lawshe Memorial Museum is located at 130 3rd Ave. N. in South St. Paul. For more details, contact the Lawshe Museum at 651-552-7548, or visit the Dakota County Historical Society website to learn more.
The Lawshe Museum will undergo improvements and renovations later this summer. To prepare, the organization has cleaned out many areas of the museum and have a number of items that were used for programming that they no longer need. These items will be made available to the public to bid on during a silent auction. Please note, none of the items included in the silent auction are artifacts from the museum's collection, rather they are items that had been used for programming.
Items included in the silent auction will be antique doors and windows from the Old Town exhibit, chandeliers from our gift shop, old lumber, bases for exhibit cases, Minolta camera kits, and much more.
All proceeds form the silent auction will be used to improve the museum archive and collection storage. For more information and select photos of the items included, please visit the Dakota County Historical Society website.
