Inver Grove Heights School District: MCA and MTAS Reading results for 2021-22 school year

Inver Grove Heights School District ranked fourth in the Dakota County for test participation, with 1,724 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Inver Grove Heights School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 30.6% over the previous year.

Inver Grove Heights School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 42% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 14% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 50% not meeting the expected standards.

Inver Grove Heights School District encompasses schools within Dakota County and has a main office in Inver Grove Heights.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
