Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District ranked first in the Dakota County for test participation, with 14,525 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 24.1% over the previous year.

Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 52% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 33% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 32% not meeting the expected standards.

Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District encompasses schools within Dakota County and has a main office in Rosemount.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
