Dakota County’s six coaches earned an average salary of $16,673 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 13th lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Minnesota post-secondary schools during 2022.

Dakota County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $15,390 on average in Dakota County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $17,956.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
