Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 2nd District since 2019, shared insights into her recent engagements through a series of tweets. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, Craig has been an active participant in addressing local issues.

On January 30, 2025, Angie Craig highlighted her meeting with law enforcement and correctional officers at Scott County Jail to discuss overdose prevention efforts. She noted the critical role these officers play on the frontlines of the opioid epidemic: "#MN02's law enforcement & correctional officers are on the frontlines of combatting the opioid epidemic. Today I had the opportunity to sit down with Sheriff Luke Hennen & correctional officers at the Scott County Jail to discuss the importance of overdose prevention efforts."

Later that day, she addressed concerns about a funding freeze by sitting down with new mayors from her district. The discussion focused on collaborative efforts to support their communities amid administrative challenges: "As we all try to make sense of the Administration’s recent funding freeze, I sat down with #MN02’s new mayors to discuss how we can work together to help and support our communities."

On January 31, 2025, Craig recognized former Mayor Janet Williams for nearly two decades of service by presenting her with a Congressional Record Citation. Expressing gratitude for Williams' dedication and friendship, she tweeted: "Yesterday, I presented former Mayor Janet Williams with a Congressional Record Citation for her nearly 20 years of service to the City of Savage. Thank you for your dedication to your community, Janet. You are a true public servant and I'm lucky to call you a lifelong friend."
