Angie Craig, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota's 2nd district since 2019, has recently expressed her concerns and legislative efforts through a series of tweets. Her posts address issues related to government database access, consumer protection, and the economic impact of international aid cuts.

On February 7, 2025, Craig criticized the current administration's handling of sensitive government databases. She stated: "The Administration has shown that they can’t be trusted to control who has access to sensitive government databases. That’s why I helped introduce a bill to limit who can access our most sensitive personal information – because your personal freedom and privacy are fundamental."

In another tweet on February 8, 2025, she defended the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), highlighting its role in safeguarding Americans from exploitative business practices. She argued against reducing consumer protections by stating: "CFPB protects Americans from exploitative business practices that cost you money. We should be putting more consumer protections in place - not fewer. Gutting CFPB will put more money into the pocket of billionaire Elon Musk, not the middle class."

Later on February 8, 2025, Craig addressed Elon Musk's criticism of USAID and its potential repercussions on American agriculture. She noted: "Elon Musk’s attacks on USAID won’t just impact foreign countries. Cutting food assistance programs that provide critical business for American farmers, truckers and packers will deal a major blow to the ag economy in Minnesota and across rural America."
