Craig mentioned speaking with labor leaders and advocates from AFGE to gain insights into the situation within government agencies. Later on the same day, Craig expressed strong opposition to Elon Musk's proposed changes to the Department of Education. She described Musk’s plan as "an attack on our kids, our teachers and on the future of our country," asserting her refusal to allow an unelected billionaire to remove opportunities from children. "Musk’s plan to gut the Dept. of Ed is a non-starter."

In another tweet posted on February 12, 2025, Craig announced a telephone town hall scheduled for the following day.
