Angie Craig, currently a U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota's 2nd district, has shared her perspectives on several key issues via Twitter. A former journalist and a University of Memphis alumna, Craig turned her career towards public service when she replaced Jason Lewis in 2019.
In an April 19, 2025 post, Craig critiqued the Administration's actions concerning Mr. Abrego Garcia's deportation. "In this country, everyone is entitled to due process. The Administration wrongfully deported Mr. Abrego Garcia, ignored a Supreme Court order and now they’re acting like their hands are tied. I call BS. It’s time to bring him home," she said.
Craig expressed holiday greetings on April 20, 2025. "Happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate. I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends – and get to enjoy some Easter candy too! ," she posted.
On the same day, April 20, 2025, Craig shared her concerns about press freedom with reference to judicial responsibility. "As a former journalist, I am appalled. Freedom of the press is one of the fundamental principles of our democracy. If the courts won’t even protect the First Amendment, what will they?” she inquired.
Additional Background: Angie Craig, born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972, currently resides in Prior Lake. She has been active in Congress since 2019, focusing on maintaining democratic principles and addressing issues of due process and freedoms.
