Angie Craig, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 2nd district, has expressed her concerns and actions through a series of tweets on May 7, 2025. Craig, who replaced Jason Lewis in 2019, addresses issues related to veterans' healthcare, agricultural policies, and food assistance programs.

On May 7, 2025, Angie Craig tweeted about the PACT Act's passage aimed at providing overdue care and benefits to veterans. She criticized the current administration for its approach towards VA health care, stating that it has been "placed on the chopping block." Craig warned that "veterans will die because of these cuts."

Later that day, she highlighted the necessity for a bipartisan farm bill. She mentioned her meeting with the Minnesota Farmers Union to discuss defending funding for farm programs and opposing the Administration’s trade war. In her tweet at 17:43 UTC, she emphasized that "Minnesotans need a bipartisan farm bill- and they need it now."

In another tweet posted at 19:17 UTC on the same day, Craig reported leading House Agriculture Democrats against Republican efforts to cut SNAP benefits. She stated their opposition to any budget bill that would negatively impact children, seniors, and veterans by making them "hungrier and poorer." The tweet read: "Today, I led @HouseAgDems in standing up against our Republican colleagues’ attempts to cut SNAP."

Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently residing in Prior Lake, Angie Craig graduated from the University of Memphis in 1994 with a BA.
