U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, posted a series of updates on her social media account on July 17, 2025, addressing a range of topics from well-wishes for a fellow senator to legislative efforts targeting drug trafficking online.
In her first post of the day, Craig wrote: "Cheryl and I are keeping Senator Smith in our thoughts and are hoping for a speedy recovery." (July 17, 2025).
Later that morning, she reminded constituents about an upcoming opportunity: "REMINDER: The application for a fall internship in my Washington D.C. office is due in less than one week! Visit https://t.co/3aUnRWoLRV for more info on how to apply." (July 17, 2025).
In the afternoon, Craig addressed concerns about drug overdoses linked to online platforms: "Too many fentanyl overdoses happen because of drugs sold on social media. It’s time we hold social media companies accountable for the trafficking that occurs on their platforms. I’m proud to reintroduce my bill that requires social media companies to report drug trafficking to https://t.co/LbtV9wyL0M" (July 17, 2025).
Craig has represented Minnesota's 2nd District since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 1994.
