Representative Jeff Witte of Lakeville has officially begun his new term in the Minnesota House of Representatives, joining 66 other Republican lawmakers in a swearing-in ceremony at the State Capitol in St. Paul as the 2025 legislative session commenced.
“I’m truly honored to have the opportunity to continue representing the people of District 57B,” said Witte. “The trust my constituents have placed in me means a lot, and I’m committed to working hard every day to make sure their voices are heard. I take this responsibility seriously, and I’ll do my best to fight for the needs of our families, farmers, law enforcement officers, first responders, and small businesses. My focus this session is on delivering real solutions that make a positive impact on our communities.”
Witte will serve as Republican Vice Chair on the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee for the 2025-2026 biennium. He will also be a member of the Taxes Committee. These committee assignments mean much of his early work this session will take place within these groups.
“I’m excited to get to work to build on the progress we’ve made for our district,” Witte continued. “As we tackle the challenges ahead, I’m focused on finding commonsense solutions that strengthen our economy, improve public safety, and ensure our communities thrive. Together, we can make Minnesota a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
