U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress, has recently highlighted her office's efforts to assist constituents and advocated for veterans’ benefits and healthcare access in a series of social media posts.
On July 28, Craig shared an example of constituent service, stating: "My office helped Brian, a veteran from MN-02, access his earned health benefits after facing a life-threatening loss in coverage. Brian – I'm so glad we were able to help. If you or your family need assistance with a federal agency, my team is here to help."
The following day, she addressed the issue of veterans' rights and support from the federal government. On July 29, Craig wrote: "Veterans fought for our freedoms, and now – it's our turn to fight for them. As this Admin continues to attack the brave men and women who have worn a uniform, I’m fighting for veterans’ access to the benefits they deserve."
Later that same day, Craig commented on the impact of funding decisions on healthcare coverage in Minnesota: "Because of Republican funding cuts, 140,000 Minnesotans are now at risk of losing care – especially children, people with disabilities and rural communities. I’m partnering with federal, state and local officials to fight for Minnesotans’ access to care – and I won’t stop until"
Craig has served as U.S. Representative since 2019 after succeeding Jason Lewis. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. In addition to her congressional work representing Minnesota’s 2nd District since 2019, she holds a BA from the University of Memphis.
