U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress, addressed several national and international issues in a series of tweets posted on July 31, 2025.
In her first post at 16:17 UTC, Craig referenced a recent report from the Office of Inspector General for the United States Postal Service (OIGUSPS), stating: ".@OIGUSPS recently reported that USPS manipulated performance data during the 2024 holiday season to save face for their underperformance. They still failed to meet 5 out of the 6 service standards. I am holding USPS accountable for this unacceptable behavior, and I will not".
Later that day, at 19:29 UTC, Craig commented on the humanitarian situation in Gaza: "The starvation of children, families, doctors, journalists and innocent civilians in Gaza is unacceptable. I’m joining my colleagues in condemning the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. We’re demanding Secretary of State Rubio conduct federal oversight into this so we can https://t.co/slu3Es7kmd".
In a subsequent tweet at 22:09 UTC, she criticized Republican budget proposals affecting healthcare costs in Minnesota: "There’s simply no way around it: whether or not you rely on Medicaid, the cost of health care will go up for Minnesotans thanks to Republicans’ Big Ugly Budget. https://t.co/RECbaB1iot".
Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd District since replacing Jason Lewis in Congress in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Memphis in 1994.
