U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd district, recently posted a series of updates on her social media accounts addressing local educational achievements, immigration policy concerning veterans, and appreciation for her summer interns.
On August 2, 2025, Craig announced the awarding of a National Endowment for the Humanities grant to Carleton College: "CD2 grant alert ! Carleton College has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for collaborative research on the Archaeology of Small Islands in the Northeast Mediterranean. NEH grants ensure our students and communities have broad access to the humanities," she wrote.
Later that day, Craig commented on immigration enforcement affecting U.S. military veterans: "Now, the Trump Admin is deporting veterans who have risked their lives for this nation’s freedoms. Shameful. We should be ensuring these heroes have the benefits they deserve – not kicking them out of our country. I'm urging this Admin to immediately remedy this injustice and".
On August 3, 2025, Craig expressed gratitude toward her summer interns: "As this summer comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all my summer interns – in both my personal office, and on @HouseAgDems! Thank you for all your service, hard work and dedication. You’ll be missed!"
Angie Craig has represented Minnesota's 2nd congressional district since replacing Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Memphis in 1994.
