Angie Craig, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 2nd district since 2019, posted a series of statements on September 23, 2025, regarding government funding negotiations and health care policy.
In her first post at 17:46 UTC, Craig addressed the ongoing budget discussions in Washington: "Democrats are ready to pass a bipartisan government funding bill that lowers costs and makes health care accessible for hardworking Americans. But the President and his Republican allies won’t even come to the table."
Later that day, at 18:19 UTC, she commented on decision-making during pregnancy: "When it comes to health decisions during pregnancy – we should be listening to doctors, scientists and women. These are the last people on earth who should be telling women to “just power through” pregnancy."
In a third post at 20:03 UTC, Craig criticized what she described as unfounded medical advice from national leaders: "Next time, before you spread unfounded medical advice about a widely used medication to the entire country, you might want to make sure you know how to pronounce it. Hope this helps! @POTUS"
Craig has represented Minnesota’s 2nd congressional district since defeating Jason Lewis in 2019. She was born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972 and currently resides in Prior Lake. Craig graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1994.
