U.S. Representative Angie Craig, who has represented Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress since 2019, recently addressed a range of national and international issues through her official Twitter account.
On October 12, 2025, Craig urged her Republican colleagues to return to Washington to resume legislative negotiations. She stated, "It’s time Republicans come back from their self-declared vacation, get back to DC to the negotiating table and do their jobs. I’m demanding Speaker Johnson work with us to lower costs, address the health care crisis and re-open the government. Now."
The following day, October 13, Craig marked Indigenous Peoples’ Day by highlighting the significance of Indigenous communities in Minnesota and across the country. She wrote, "On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the communities who have inhabited Minnesota for centuries and the contributions they have made to our country’s history and culture. We also recognize the resilience of Indigenous peoples, who have faced unthinkable injustices".
Later on October 13, Craig commented on recent developments in the Middle East. She posted, "Cheryl and I are deeply grateful and relieved to see the remaining Israeli hostages reunited with their families. We are hopeful that this exchange will lead to the end of this devastating war and serve as the critical first step toward lasting peace and security in the region."
Craig’s public statements reflect her ongoing engagement with both domestic policy debates and international events. She has served as Minnesota’s 2nd District representative since replacing Jason Lewis in 2019. Born in West Helena, Arkansas in 1972, Craig is currently 51 years old and resides in Prior Lake. She graduated from the University of Memphis in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
