The Minnesota Vikings announced on May 8 that they have signed eight of their nine selections from the 2026 National Football League Draft.
According to the team, Caleb Banks, Domonique Orange, Caleb Tiernan, Jakobe Thomas, Max Bredeson, Charles Demmings, Demond Claiborne and Gavin Gerhardt finalized their first professional contracts before Friday’s rookie minicamp practice. The only remaining unsigned draft pick is second-round selection Jake Golday.
The announcement comes as this year’s group of drafted players, undrafted free agents and tryout invitees arrive in Minnesota to participate in the team’s rookie minicamp. The minicamp will include a practice session open to media members on Friday.
After the conclusion of this weekend’s minicamp activities, all participants are scheduled to join Vikings veterans for the voluntary offseason workout program beginning Monday.
The signing of these rookies marks an important step for both the new players and the organization as preparations continue for the upcoming season. Team officials said that these moves help ensure a smooth transition into professional football for this year’s draft class.
