City of Coates issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
The public is invited to an open house to discuss a potential extension of the METRO Orange Line, a 17-mile bus rapid transit (BRT) service between downtown Minneapolis and Burnsville Parkway in Burnsville set to begin service in 2021. The open house will be Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 5–7 p.m. at the Burnsville Center Mall first floor, 1178 Burnsville Center, Burnsville.
Recommendations for additional Orange Line stations in Burnsville and Lakeville will be shared as well as ridership estimates, station designs and information on future project steps. There will be no formal presentation.
